MySQL CASE statement in SELECT clause

A very trivial example

SELECT first_name, last_name, middle_name,
	CASE middle_name
		WHEN 'A' THEN 'Your Middle name starts with A'
		WHEN 'B' THEN 'Your Middle name starts with B'
		WHEN 'C' THEN 'Your Middle name starts with C'
		WHEN 'D' THEN 'Your Middle name starts with D'
	END AS middle_name_starts_with
FROM users;
